Fritz Huber
Job Search Team Leader
Fritz brings to the table a heart to support job seekers. From personal experience, he understands the challenges. Fritz was thrust into the job market in 2018 and 2020. It was not a pleasant journey by any stretch of the imagination since he considered himself a "seasoned" job seeker. In 2018 and 2020, he spent 8 months job seeking. He discovered Career Network Ministry (CNM) in 2018 and they provided tremendous encouragement and resources.
Even though Fritz has over 20 years in Human Resources and Recruiting, he found that he had to start from ground zero.
In 2020, after a layoff, he realized, as never before, that he had to OWN the job seeking process. It’s great to get advice but ultimately the buck stops with the job seeker. There must be action.
The biggest driver in 2020, was the “fear factor” – fear of not getting a decent job. Rather than succumbing to fear, he used it as a “motivator.” He found a company he really wanted to work for which spurred his efforts in all facets of job seeking. He worked very hard to strengthen his expertise.
Fast forward, Fritz has just celebrated his 4th year with his company!
In Fritz’s Recruiting/HR career, he has seen it all – the good, the bad, the ugly. He believes that 70% of job seekers are not well-prepared, but they certainly can be with a little help from their friends at CNM!
Fritz loves to wear a “coach” hat when he can and has a passion for Gallup’s CliftonStrengths (formerly StrengthsFinder) assessment which he took in 2017. It was absolutely life changing. The experience motivated him to get formal coach training in November, 2017. He plans to enroll in Gallup’s Certified Strengths Coach certification program and likely starting his training in December 2024 in Washington, DC.
