Dan Shain

As a seasoned Software Engineering leader across multiple industries, Dan Shain has been sought after for leadership coaching and conducting behavioral interviews for senior-level candidates. His journey with CNM began through networking with a current CNM leader during a career transition.

Dan's technical career began as an engineer at Rockwell International supporting the Department of Energy's Nuclear weapons program. After obtaining his masters in Environmental Engineering, he turned his IT talents into nuclear and hazardous waste remediation. Continuing his education into IT, Dan joined America Online in the dot.com hay days and continued to follow the technology path post the dot.com collapse working for the original cloud company, Rackspace. Dan's expertise in digital transition brought him to Capital One where he played a major role in helping Capital One being the first financial institution to move to the Cloud.

Dan has been coaching for over 40 years and as part of that journey, was certified as a Behavior Interviewer specializing in "Situation Action Response" (SAR) assessments. Dan has helped both seasoned professionals and college graduates prepare for roles in their career journey.
