About Our Guest
Sal Fratanduono is a Senior Director of Product Management at Capital One, where he leads Product Management and Data Analysis for a team driving technology and data product transformation to support the company's community investment and impact initiatives.
Sal's career began in technology and strategy consulting before he joined Capital One in 2013. Over his 12 years there, he has held Product leadership roles across Payments and Card Platforms, including leading a major platform where his teams automated workflows and built agent experiences that were federated across lines of business. In 2022, he moved into his current role to align his work more closely with his passion for community impact.
Sal is energized by every facet of product management — from researching customer problems to setting vision, building teams and partnerships, and delivering value to customers. In his current role, he gets to apply that skillset toward helping Capital One maximize its impact in the communities it serves, while learning firsthand about housing affordability and other issues facing everyday Americans.
Originally from Laurel, MD, Sal now lives outside Richmond in Midlothian, VA, with his wife Jill and their three daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys nature and wildlife, collecting antiques like tobacco cards and fossils, traveling, volunteering, playing guitar, fishing, and good beer. He serves on the boards of two local nonprofits: the Partnership for Housing Affordability (PHA) and the Richmond Christian Leadership Initiative (RCLI).
