Shira Lotzar

Shira Lotzar, founder of Purposeful Hire, is a seasoned career coach and recruiter whose tagline is: "For every hire, there is a higher purpose". Her signature offering is her proprietary “Passiontivity” matrix which helps job seekers align their career passions with market value.

As a LinkedIn trainer for JSSA’s Career Gateway for the last 15+ years, she has helped countless professionals create a standout brand, and leverage LinkedIn’s database so they can network like a recruiter.

Shira also founded a community service program called BoomerWorks.org, which empowers 50+ professionals to transition into self-employment. And she hosts a bi-weekly job support group: Hire Moment Mastermind.

John Foster

John E. Foster is a dedicated health advocate and successful sales professional who has seamlessly combined his rich expertise in the financial services industry with his passion for nutrition and wellness. An unabashed connector and food evangelist, John has made it his mission to promote a plant-based lifestyle for better living.

John currently serves as an Ambassador for GreenFare Organic Restaurant, where he represents the GreenFare brand and advocates for whole food plant-based eating across various platforms. His initiatives have included establishing the GreenFare Ambassador Program and contributing to the executive committee of the first annual Fairfax VegFest. Through direct marketing efforts at the Reston Farmers Market, he educates individuals about the benefits of a plant-based diet.

John's commitment to health and nutrition extends beyond his volunteer work. He successfully completed the PCRM 21 KickStart program in August 2016, resulting in a 50-pound weight loss over the last 9 years.  He also completed Food for Life Training Instructor training and is now a Licensed Food for Life Instructor through The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine in November 2024.
