About the Presenters

Dede O'Donnell is a certified leadership coach with an emphasis on transitions. After having a great career in HR starting as an Assistant and ending as a Sr. Vice President, she made her own career transition. Dede thought about her passions, went back to school, and is now the Founder and Executive Coach of Rodeo Enterprises. Dede also does pro bono coaching. She says, “I love what I do.”

Dede believes in focusing on what we have, not what we don't, and looking ahead not behind. She believes if you're depressed, you're living in the past. If you're anxious, you're living in the future. If you're at peace, you're living in the present.

Kathy Murphy is the President of Sterling Partners, LLC. She brings over 25 years of experience in executive search, career coaching, leadership development and human resources. She conducts executive level searches, specializing in nonprofit, consumer products/retail, and financial services. Her clients range from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, nonprofit organizations, as well as candidates seeking career advisory services.

Prior to Sterling Partners, Kathy was a Managing Director with Gilbert Tweed International, a retained executive search firm working out of the New York, NY and Washington, DC locations. Before entering executive search, she was Director of Human Resources at Tiffany & Co. where she was responsible for global talent acquisition and leadership development. She also held management positions in human resources with Prudential Securities.

Kathy is a volunteer career coach with Career Network Ministry, and  a frequent presenter and speaker on talent solutions and successful job search strategies. Previously, Kathy was a board member of the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NYC). She holds a B.A. in Economics from Hunter College.
